Tom McEwen Revellogram 1/24 dragster

Got done with my first build of this kit; there will be more.  This is a very unique kit.  My chassis was warped and I tried everything but couldn't get it straight; the lf wheel is in the air and it looks like the car is launching.  This car has all the wires and plumbing in vinyl, and they require forcing to fit as the vinyl is too stiff.  Wish they could have molded them in DS.  I had to tie the plug wires together with fine wire to get them to fit under the blower snout.  The kit has some interesting features, like breathers with the EP logos, and it has two front ends and front wings. The old Cragar ST wheels are gorgeous.  Of note, the cage has exit handles; I thought they didn't start using those until the 90s when I built my first car (they were a $90 option!).  I was wrong.  The windscreen is missing in my kit. The xmas tree and figure are both pretty neat.  The kit is a job to build but worth it; I hope to build several more with different decals and options.  This car represents the 70-73 era of first gen RE tf cars very well.  By the way, the revell decals were excellent; they covered almost the enitre body and laid down perfectly with heat; no solvent was used.
